Silchester School Council
Key Roles and Purpose
To give the pupils a voice, and in doing so:
- Represent the pupils of your class
- Assist in leading specific projects and developments within the school
- Develop personal confidence and independence
Current Projects
- Improving the school grounds
- Issues raised by pupils
How it works
- The School Council will consist of 2 pupils from years 2-6.
- Pupils will be elected by their class, following delivery of a speech outlining their reasons for standing and suitability for the role.
- Pupils will be elected for 2 years and will be expected to remain in post for that period.
- The School Council will meet throughout the year to discuss projects and provide insight into pupil views on certain subjects.
