Our Church Community
Silchester School serves a diverse community and our Christian values help everyone in our community to learn, achieve and build strong foundations for the future.
St Marys church is in Silchester village and there are strong links between our school and Church.
The partnership encompasses various aspects of the school, including; collective worship, Christian festivals, Religious Education and joint projects between church and school. The children are invited to a yearly pilgimage where we walk to the church together, across the fields.
Reverend Karen is a regular visitor to the school, well known to the children and contributes significantly to supporting the Christian vision for the school.
