Attendance
At Silchester, we have good attendance rates placing us in the top 4th centile nationally. We like to think that this is because children like coming to our school!
If your child is absent from school for any reason you are required to inform the school stating the reason, this may be done in person, by email or by telephone. Parents are requested to keep the school informed of any changes to contact details so that they can be contacted in the event of an illness or emergency.
If you child is ill, please contact the school office early on the first day of absence. If you are unsure whether your child is well enough to attend school, you may like to refer to the guidance on the document below.
Children may be collected from the school office during lesson time in order to attend medical appointments, please inform the school office in advance. No child will be allowed to leave school between 8.40 a.m. — 3.15 p.m. unless accompanied by an adult.
Holidays will not be authorised during term time. Should you wish to take your child out of school for any exceptional circumstances, please complete the attached form and return to the school office.
