Art
At Silchester, our aims are to inspire pupils and develop their confidence to experiment and invent their own works of art. By the end of year 6, children will have explored drawing, painting, collage, printing, textile and sculpture.
Children will be able to name great artists, architects and designers in history and be confident in using a range of materials and techniques. Children will be able to evaluate and analyse their own and others’ creative work.
The Silchester Artist will:

Silchester Art Gallery
We really enjoyed inviting parents to come and have a look around our Silchester Art Gallery! The children have been studying different artists this term and created some impressive pieces of art inspired by Frida Kahlo, Vincent Van Gogh and Georgia O’Keefe. The children displayed their their work in the hall and with the musical background and rolling slideshow, it was a great way to celebrate our budding artists.
